Sticky Starter Motor

Starter is running on a bit once the engine starts - Only when its cold.

Its going in tomorrow for a warrenty check.

Just wondered if this is a common issue and if anyone else has had it?

Hi Scott,

Is yours a petrol or diesel.

Mine's a 2.0 petrol auto, I've noticed it a bit on mine sometimes, esp. from cold. Sometimes also get a chirp from the aux belt, think I'll get the belt changed next service, it feels a bit lose.

My brother civic did this for most his ownership about 50k mainly once when cold... Lazy solenoid I guess. no real problems caused by it.
