it's for CL7, if you look at the pics there is no layout under the car for twin boxes, so if you fit it to CL9 you will lose the twin pipes (unless you keep the other as a fake) and it will be extremely loud

its a mid pipe, it will join before the y split to the backboxes i believe...so should fit both a CL7 and CL9 (***uming the route only differs from where this midpipe ends)

depends how long it is, but either on Cl7 or CL9 there is no separate "mid-box" or "mid pipe"

on CL7 the pipe (with boxes) is continuous from CAT all the way to the back

on CL9 it's the same, the 2nd pipe is a separate branch with another box

so you'll need to cut the existing pipe, and if I'm not mistaken, the new pipe too

hmm interesting, thanks for the reference to lings...so looks like the OEM pipe would need to be cut before the y split and then somehow joined onto this pipe...i guess the idea behind this is to 'slip join' or weld the cut pipe pre-backboxes to this new pipe. If this did slip fit then this would in theory be something which a DIY home mechanic could do, given they have sufficient tools to cut the OEM pipe (an angle grinder is not that expensive and definitely worth investing in to achieve the end result of a straight thru mid pipe!)
