Tried to change the rocker cover gasket today and couldn't remove one of the injectors so I put it back together , went on work tonight and after driving about 10 miles the car had a misfire so I removed the engine and noticed the injector I couldn't get out earlier in the day had moved up and the bolt on the injector holder was loose ( i must of only nipped it back up ) , I pulled it out and it had aluminium around the bottom of the threads , cleaned this off popped the injector back in place and now the bolt wont tighten up , will this now be an head off job

Ouch Gaz, hope you get it sorted. ***uming the bolt goes right through the rocker cover?

I think you should be able to get a helicoil (threaded insert) repair done with the head still on. Might cost a bit, as I'm guessing you'll either need someone to come round and do it, or get your car trailered to a garage.

Might be worth pm Adam (the hole ) as he has had a few gone like this.

All is possibly not lost. You need to get the car to a specialist who can rethread and refill the hold for you. You shouldn't have to remove the head for this, not sure who would do this in the UK, but there are engineering experts over here that you can bring or tow you car too. So I'd have to imagine they are in the UK too.
