tax disc on my accord

so i just got my car today with a tax disc that runs out in jan ..so ? is is it taxed or not.. does the new rules just apply to ones bought since oct 1st ? if so the dvla will get this months tax money twice for my car ?

the tax disc is now a decoration and has no relevance

***uming that the V5 was transferred to your name/address this month then DVLA will automatically post a cheque to the previous owner (refund starting from 1st of next month), and you need to tax the car from the beginning of this month, so yes DVLA are making money out of this http://typeaccord.co.uk/forum/topic/17990-dvla-more-money-making-by-a-government-department/
