Hello Chaps,
My 58 plate 2.0EX petrol auto is about down to the wear bars on the front (nearer on the inside that the outside - so 2nd topic = wheel alignment?) and about 6mm on the rears and currently has nice quiet Yokohama db E70D 225/50R17s all around.
The question is do I spend £320'ish on 2 more for the front or splash out £750'ish and change them for something different?
I think the Yokos are the second set (amazed if they're the first at about 48k - 'spose they could be the third) but braking isn't as good in the wet as my old Passat on Dunlops and I hear they don't wear that well compared to Michelins and Continentals.
But if Honda-san fits Yokos as originals - then I need a good reason to change … don't I??
What do you guys think - what do you all drive on?
I'm looking for a long life for me and the tyres - so a balance of safety and wear resistance - but I do like the comfy quiet of the Yokos ….
I reckon I've got a week or two before I need to buy some more rubber ... so looking forward to your expert advice.
Many Thanks,
Graham
