    Choosing the right car

Our tax isn't cheap.... yours is just scandalous :P I nearly cry when I think that some cars are as little as £30 per year and some are even free! Although cheap tax=economical and economical=slow!!

    Choosing the right car

Downsides of Induction Kit and other Q's

I thought you meant the pipe from the airbox to the inlet manifold!!

Downsides of Induction Kit and other Q's

The induction pipe on your standard air box was welded on?? Strange, mine is a 2002 1.8 and the pipe was just held on with a couple of brackets.

Part Two on my 'new' 6th Gen

How have you got on with the water in the boot? When I bought mine the wheel well was about 3 inches deep in water and the carpet was sodden, I dried it all out and haven't had any problems since, so I'm a little confused as to how it got there!

    TPS% at idle

I asked this question before, as my OBD reader was showing about 9.7% at idle, and the answer I got was that it is perfectly normal, I just thought it seemed a little high to maintain tickover but apparently it's absolutely fine.

Downsides of Induction Kit and other Q's

I have an AES long ram kit fitted to mine, it's similar to the typhoon kit fitted to shiny's car, the actual filter is sat right down in the front bumper so it sucks in cold air even when stationary. Was quite difficult to fit, as you have to remove the front bumper to install it, but I think it...

Motor won't go over 3000rpm, VTEC broken?

The VTEC engines use quite a bit of oil due to the way they work, I had the oil & filter changed on mine when I bought it, I've covered 3k miles and I've had to top it up twice so far.

    Exhaust Recommendations

Hmm, I didn't know powerflow weren't mandrel bent, I was thinking of getting them to make me a system in the future, may have to think twice now. There doesn't seem to be any off the shelf stainless systems for none type-r accords.

    Exhaust Recommendations

Is there a powerflow centre near you? I'm sure they'd be able to sort you out with a stainless backbox.

    ABS

It just seemed to lock up a lot more than I thought it would, and more than my previous car with ABS.

    ABS

Just a quick question, how aggressive is the ABS on the 6th gen accords? I was doing a brake test last week to make sure things were ship shape, braking hard from 60 down to 30 and there was definite lock up, but I could still feel the feedback through the pedal. The ABS light does not stay on...

    Fuel Economy - Procative Steps/Advice?

Austerity measures! Can't afford to drive fast, I've even noticed there are nowhere near as many boy racers around these days.

    Type-V front disc size

Typical car manufacturers! Always ****** messing, just confuses matters, always had this problem with fords, went to get some brake hoses once, there were 9 different types that might fit my car, not even giving the registration number helped!!

    Type-V front disc size

Easiest way to tell would be to check the stud pattern, if they are 5 stud, they are off the type r, all other accords came with 282mm 4 stud.

    Temperature gauge
