2003 littlebro remap ukcl9

have a look at this tuning video.made in japan.dc5 vs cl7 euro r.stock then tuned.
forget about the cl7 using a k20 as a littlebo reflash will give the k24 similar power and more torque.
the k24 stroke size means a k24 @7500 rpm is the same as a k20 @8500
also the tuned accord are using crossed gears and lsd...you can put them in your cl9 if you wanted.the video shows how good/fun the accord can be.enjoy
the tuned accord's start at 7:10 in

Good video this. I've seen it before but only with Japanese narration and no subtitles so had to use the Mrs give me the gist of what was going on. Nice to know what banter is going on between the drivers.

Not really, but she doesn't outright stop me from spending on the car. If I prioritised the car over the family, then I'd have issues, but only left over cash gets thrown at the car, so she doesn't really have much to complain about.

I'm finding out, uk! Takes a little time to get used to the steering!lol! All car's steering is different so no worries there. Enough feel for me.

UKSaab's have quite a few guys that have highly tuned 9-3's and 9000's. Local Saab specialist I took mine too have a 400 bhp 9000 they race. IT IS QUICK!! They do cost a lot to get sorted properly, far more than the original cost of buying it! There are some stage 5's around  .

only problem i think is cl9 steering wheel came off a bus.lol

lost all interest in saabs.yes they can be fast.but any car with a turbo remaped is quick.still boring.my cl9 is the cheapest car ive owned.but is the most fun ive had.and ticks all the boxes

To be fair, even the tourer ain't a bad handler. It has cruder rear suspension and there's very little in the way of after market support for tourer specific. But even mine just with Apex lower springs tucks in very nicely. I doubt it's as good as the saloon obviously, and there are moments when you're very aware you're trying to drag a large, crude rear end around, but on the whole it's great for its size.

Part of it may be the stiffness of the shell - a saloon's always going to be more rigid than an estate body.

I'm always dragging a large, crude rear end around...occasionally mine!lol! On the V70 D5 they swore by uprated droplinks and stiffer ARB. Not sure whether anything is available for the tourer but....? Made the D5 much sharper, even before adustable shocks/coilovers/springs...

Never got round to it on mine because of the nightmare after purchase......but have got the Meyle drops ready for my baby :D

The weight over the rear and the trailing arm combined, yes.

This difference is, I believe, to give the tourer a more spacious and generous boot space. The weight difference between the saloon and tourer is only 60kg (tourer being the heavier) and that's not a massive difference. However, it's likely to be all over the rear of the car where the inferior suspension is. Put the two together and you have a more rolling, less responsive rear end.

I reckon there are solutions out there to close this gap in rear end performance between the saloon and tourer. It's just a matter of having the cash and finding the right products.

The 8th gen tourer has a rubbish boot space compared to the 7th gen. However, the suspension is the same as the saloon. So they've traded space for handling. I bet the 8th gen tourer is seriously awesome handling. I've driven an 8th gen 2.2 iDTEC saloon and the handling was incredible for the size of the car. I was blown away at how tight it was. The 8th gen chassis is I think a tweaked and refined 7th gen and so with that in mind, the tourer must be pretty amazing too.

One way to reduce the body roll without changing the suspension is to upgrade the anti-roll bars.
This is what I did at first on the stock suspension, I've put the front and rear anti-roll bars kit from H&R , and these have reduced the body roll significantly without sacrificing the ground clearance
You can find my old review over here: http://typeaccord.co.uk/forum/topic/684-front-and-rear-anti-roll-bars-upgrade/

Interesting Steve. Have to look into the ARB's anyway. Maybe something from the States. They're usually on the ball. 8th gen sounds great. Have to be a diesely next time as the petrols have become prohibitive post March 06. Shame, just the C02 ratings.

Cheers,

Jon

Hey John I woould suggest to upgrade both bars (please read my review , I've post a link above) the german TUV for H&R for instant forbidens to upgrade the rear only as it might become dangerous for street use.

Are yours H&R UKCL9? If not, maybe it's just H&R who advise both front and rear as they have quite aggressive settings or something? Other manufacturers might not be so severe. Or maybe it's a shrewd ploy to make you buy both and spend more money ;) .

Yeah, sorry UKCL9 we've gone massively off topic here  .

Back to the remap. How are things? Still fun, more even power bands and more economical under gentle driving? ;)

post what you like.will close this thread and open a new one.remaps q&a.ONLY.lol..when i get back from holiday.i only have rear bar.love it.turn in is very quick.start on soft.then set to hard after a few weeks.get a good set of tyres to.like re070.if you want extra grip in the corners.get camber and toe adjusters.and a good frsu.this will totaly change the way the cars acts in the corners

Is it possible to remap a cl7 as well? What are the possibilties on these engines?

Is this a result from your accord in devon or from one in poland? sorry, just want to see what exactly is going on with these print outs as they got no date stamp

dont think so, the consensus is sell it and buy a k24.

much easier in the long run.

Not sure I'd say consensus Eric ;) . I believe the 2.0 has some options in the area of remap, but I'm not sure what. You'd need to research it.
