As per the ***le thread, I'm hoping to add an amplifier and sub to my tourer, do you know where the rear speaker wires run and what colour they are? Would save me ripping my trim to shreds!

Nick just put a splice block pretty much where the wires run into your speakers mate.

Does the car already have a sub fitted? If not you'll need an RCA cable from the HU to the Amp to let the amp know when to turn on, then another set of phonos from the output of the HU to the Amp then on to the sub.

Confused.com!

Was going to use the high level input on my amp from the speaker wires, when you say RCA to the amp you must mean 12v power? As the rca's wont work as a remote. There are no RCA's on my headunit AFAIK.

He means a remote wire I think, You can tap into the factory amp for a 12v on signal. its behind the ashtray and only comes on with the system.

Can't remember which one but I can find out if you like.

Not sure on the tourer, but on the saloon people usually tap into the shelf speakers. yours I think has a sub in the boot, You can tap into that or better disconnect it and run it solely into the amp high inputs.
