I have had my Honda for 6 months and I have always had the same problem. The car hesitates until it warms up and then its fine. It's like having a manual choke, and you want to pull it out a bit more.
I have changed the plugs, cleaned the EGR, checked the hoses for leaks, changed the Throttle Body, changed the IACV, changed the three temp sensors and its still doing the same. I have also just checked the valves and they are ok.
With the car stationary and in neutral, if you slowly press the accelerator pedal the rev counter will not increase at the same rate. It jumps up. If you take your foot off the pedal then the revs will eventually settle down to 800 after going up and down between 1200 and 500 rpm. If you try and keep the revs at say 1500, its virtually impossible. It jumps up to over 2000 rpm. It feels as if you can not control the revs and its a lot worse when the car has not warmed up.
Anybody got any ideas please.

Have had a similar problem on my old accord which eventually threw up an engine management code which turned out to be a failing lambda (oxygen) sensor. I just lived with it for 9 months til I scrapped the car.

Thanks for the tip. I changed the lambda sensor and now it runs very well.

Glad it's sorted dude. Was going to suggest the O2 sensor, but looks like I don't need to lol. B)
