Hi.. The question I've about to ask is probably one of the dumbest ones you've ever heard.. And I apologise in advance for the nature of it lol. I have searched the forum but can't seem to find an answer for it.. So I have no choice but to make myself look un-clever :(

So yeah.. I wanted to change the Glove box light to a LED... However after 40 odd minutes of pure blood, sweat and tears in trying to remove the bulb.. I had no success :-(

I managed to take the bracket thingymajig out.. But can't take the bulb out the bracket thing.

Help would be appreciated and comments about my dumbness will be accepted happily. Lol. Unfortunately me and simple things don't go too well.

Thanks in advance!

I can't remember how I did this on my 7gen but I no it was very easy to do.
Someone will no this for sure.

I know how to do it as I have changed all bulbs on my car. Are you close to London?

No :(. I'm from Birmingham... Can you just give me advice on whether I should push/pull/tug/break/karate chop the god damn bulb to get it out of the little adapter/bracket thing its in?

Hahaha i personally beat the living day light out of it so karate chop would be your best bet!

Thing is its actually harder to put back in so you sure you want to go through with it?

From memory you need to just pull as it is a 501 lamp

I'm 100% sure. As they say... CHALLENGE ACCEPTED ;)
It's about time I molest my car myself, rather than letting my mechanic do all the petty thing... :p

And thanks Brett! I shall give it a 2nd shot today... If it don't happen.. I'm going to dissect the ****** thing!

Grab the end and kind of move it from side to side at the same time as pulling on it! Moving from side to side will help free it up. And do not pull on it really hard just be gentle and it will come out! Good luck mate let us know how you got on

Thanks guys... And I have managed to do it!

Tbh.. I feel like a complete idiot asking the question now.. I just put on a pair of rubber gloves (to reduce the sloppiness lol) and it came out effortlessly.

Thanks again... Joining this forum is one of the best things that I've done in my life :D

Slippiness*

Glad you sorted it Sibby
