Had a look but couldn't find much info on retrofitting these  are the oem Type R xenon's a straight fit or do they require different plugs (my past few cars have either required coding or different loom/plugs to get oem xenon's fitted)

cheers

Hello mick. As well as the xenons you'll need the auto levelling feature as the oem type r headlamps had this. Maybe have a look at hid kits but you need projector lamps for them to work properly as the light pattern is all over the place otherwise and can dazzle on coming traffic.

thanks for the reply ,Im not a huge fan of hids but maybe try some h7r hids to reduce glare like i had done a few years back

No worries mate, do remember that HID's can cause an MOT failure so take this into account before purchasing.

Yeah maybe purchase a cheapish set and see how i get on with them, like i say i had a set for near 2 years a few years back (h7r bulbs) which i had set up correctly (alignment ect) and never had anyone flash me or had any trouble with the police

Give it a go mate. You can pick up a hid kit with h7r bulbs for twenty quid.
I am running some in my clk and have never been flashed with them.

I wouldn't bother going the ATR route, you will need a pair of overpriced headlights, the levelling sensor on the rear axle, the levelling ecu that goes under the dash and the cabling.

End result will be a lot of money and effort for some really ***** ATR HIDs.

Spend the money on some decent h7's like Philips Extreme instead.
