Hi guys!

In a couple of months I will try to do my self the clutch on my 1.8, year 2000 Accord.
I have been looking for clutch kits and reading lots of info, and found out that it could be a good idea to replace the pilot bearing.

After looking at the parts for the car at lings, I came to the conclusion that this car doesn't have a pilot bearing, in fact, I couldn't find any 6th gen in lings that has one...: http://www.lingshondaparts.com/honda_car_parts_selection_pfk.php?block_01=17S1A11&block_02=E__1800&block_03=2304

Does anyone knows if the 6th gen doesn't have a pilot bearing?

if you mean the clutch release bearing aka thrust bearing, then it's item 1 here

No, I meant part nº 18 of the following diagram, which doesn't have a part number:

It's A bearing which some cars have in the center of the flywheel. This image shows the pilot bearing in a flywheel:

oh ok, so they do list one then, but they possibly don't sell it any longer. Maybe they expect people to buy the flywheel complete.

You might try asking a dealer, maybe the part is available.

Does anyone else know why it's shown in the diagram but not listed ??

I suspect that the same diagram is used for other cars/engines, which could explain why the part number is not listed for this car.
Also, if you look at the flywheel (part nº3) doesn't include the pilot bearing (part nº18). I suspect it doesn't have one, but not sure

yeah possibly, that seems to be the case on the 7th gen.

I also noticed that part nº3 doesn't include part nº18, but the diagram might be wrong

Anyone know any more about this ???
