Squeaky front dorr

Hi all,

I would like to ask a question maybe someone has experienced the same problem as I am right now.

I can hear a squeaky noise with some low humps and bumps in the road coming from the passenger side (right side) when the windows are all rolled up.

When i roll the front window down a bit the squeaky noise decreases a bit and when I completely open it seems to disappear (however it might be due to road noise being louder.... not sure)

Anyone has any idea what the problem could be?

I pulled the door panel off and even when i did so the squeak was still there. And there seemed to be nothing loose within the door.

HELP! It's literally driving me insane !!!

WD 40 on a cloth, rub around the rubbers and channels, that may help. Do the door draught excluder's as well. Or you could use the wife's silicon polish.
 
I was driving home from Hastings the other night, could hear a really weird rhythmic squeaking/rasping noise from the door. Had me baffled for a good half hour, until I noticed that my dog was leaning his head on the side of my seat and breathing in my ear :lol:

Sorry, that's not very helpful I know. Unless there's a dog hiding in your car!

My advice for your squeak would be to break out the spray on silicone lubricant. It's usually safe to use on rubber seals (I use it to keep the windows in my old VW's from binding) and it's not too greasy to the touch. It should hopefully prevent whatever is rubbing from creating any noise in your case though :)
 
Tried all of the above but the door still squeaks every now and then especially with bumps!. Any other solution?
 
Guys please don't use WD40 on rubber it will rot the rubber.
Use a silicon grease only
 
I found where the creaking was coming from... the door lock or the door checker. I greased them with very strong silicone grease and it seemed that the squeaking has parted.

However I can still here some rattling of something, like its loose when i hit a bump. :/
