Hi all this is my first post. Earlier my wife was driving my car, said the accelerator felt funny, engine management light came on and went into limp mode.Pulled in and i arrived in ten minutes started car all seemed fine but engine light still on. Drove it gently to mates garage and hooked up to code reader. P1237 low boost pressure came up.Where do I get him to start change fuel filter there's 35000/13months on filter Have looked at some posts and a lot of different opinions on what to change. Thanks in advance for help. 2007 2.2 i ctdi 101000 miles Oh also changing tyres any recommendations not to expensive though will be buying in UK also thanks again

1st thing to look at is if the fuel filter is a genuin Honda one.
If not then that's very likely to be your problem.

Yes, welcome to the club!

On your facelift model, the 'genuine Honda' FF is actually made by Denso. Not sure of the Denso part number, but probably available cheaper elsewhere.

I would suggest you should also consider the air filter (remove it and try) or MAP sensor (clean it in alcohol or non-aggressive solvent). Recently a member had a problem with a sticky turbo actuator rod (grease had become hard after heat was clumsily applied while removing manifold bolts). If you think it might be a fuel filter issue then try draining and venting it first.

I just bought a pair of Kumho tyres (KU or KH 31, I can't remember the 2nd letter off the top of my head!). Were fairly cheap (on BlackCircles) and so far seem ok, noticeably quieter than the previous Goodyears.

Brett, fogive me, but I don't properly understand a fuel filter issue could result in low boost pressure? (Low fuel pressure, yes).

This site - http://www.micro-tronik.com/faultcodes/obdiifaultcode_p1237.html - suggests the following...

•Turbo body stuck (Open side stuck)
•Turbo Charger Boost Control Solenoid negative pressure hose off
•Turbo Charger Boost Control Solenoid open side stuck
•Air cleaner taint, damage (Blockage)
•Turbo compressor : tube off in Intake Manifold

However, it would be useful is someone else could confirm the meaning if P1237, as I have found some contradiction in my usual sources!

Generally the P1237 is the EGR value which controls the vanes within the turbo.
