Due to the damp weather I find the windscreen inside is fogged up overnight, I start the engine and direct the heater/air control onto the screen but it takes a while to clear in order to drive off. I had a thought that maybe the pollen filter was blocked so I decided to have a look in the hope that it would be blocked with dhebri I found there was no filter in the tray, my question is would the blower work better with a filter fitted or not?

there should be the pollen filter without any doubt .
also is very cheap to buy one .
You can get insects, dust, germs inside the car which I think you won't like it .

so before driving I should go to the local council cleansing office and take a "yellow" bath??

Will let you know when I replace the filter, 1.if I am healthier 2. If the screen clears quicker. LOL

Pop in a pollen filter - it will improve things, but you'll now need to clean the inside of your screen as there as build up of dust/oil and dirt on the thing by now.

I get the same, fogged in the morning. I only changed the cabin filter in October and still have the same problem so doubt a new filter will help much.

It means water/moisture is getting into the car somewhere.

yes edge let us know .
the unused a/c and polen filter in winter or in high moisture weather that's the result .
good luck with fixing something that is not broken .

For clarity, I meant to say that the blower will work better with the pollen filter removed.

I wouldn't expect pollen and dust to be a massive problem for the next couple of months!

Not too sure, when I explored and found no filter in the tray I had a feel around and the top of the fan housing allows a hand in there, maybe with the filter and tray replaced the air will be deflected to right area, but we will see.

Put a filter into the tray and the blow to screen was about the same as with no filter, however not having read the book re the A/C I played with the buttons and found if I put the windscreen blower on there was air going up to the screen, but if I pressed the A/C and then selected 5 the fan really got going and I am sure will clear the screen in short order. If I am preaching to the converted apologies. The button on the main dash not the auto one.
