Want opinion on here before I throw any more money at my god forsaken car !!!!!!
Had a brake judder for a while which I put down to warped front disks, no other issues.
Therefore went ahead and replaced the front disks and pads with no problem and seals seemed fine on the pistons and pushed back fine.
Then took the car out and the judder was still there but had also developed into a rotational binding on the NSF wheel which could be felt catching once per revolution at low speed. Also resulted in a very hot wheel and accompanying smell. It did come and go though and could get to a point where it wasn’t binding.
I therefore thought flexi hoses were maybe breaking up inside as they are original so have just replaced the NSF flexi, taken it out and judder is still there along with hot wheel and smell !
So what next? Is it the calliper? Seemed fine or could it be something in the ABS actuator? If it’s the latter then will be the end of the car because it doesn’t warrant that much time and money on it.
Going to take the calliper off again and check the piston as far as I can but welcome to any other ideas !
