Sorry guys i think the ***le says it all about me

Was very close in purchasing a accord type s, seen around 4 in the last week but each and every 1 had problems, if they were minor then i probably would have bought the car.

I'm swinging towards the accord 2.2 cdti for now although on the autotrader theres one for around £4700 05 plate 65k, Is there anything I need to look out for , for that kind of mileage?

I take it you have ruled out the cars listed in the for sale section here.

With the diesel.

Things you need to look out for are

Clutch slipping (noticed in around 4th and accelerating)
Noisy timing chain, covered by extended warranty
Cracked Exhaust manifold, covered by extended warranty.

Good service record, with receipts indicating 0w-30 oil used, otherwise this may effect any warranty on the timing chain, please see the various threads on the subject in the diesel faults section.

Be careful if the VSA light is on again check threads in the faults section.

A big plus would be if you can establish that the correct oil has been used and that regular oil changes have been made between 6k to 8K.

If it has been independently serviced then things like after market fuel filters may have been used
