Fuel Tank Overflow

My 2004 diesel saloon seems to be overflowing fuel down the side of the car at the filler. The car never has more than half a tank in it at any time and I've noticed the greasy dirt forming even when the reserve light has been on and the car just washed. I'm ***uming a breather pipe blockage but I have no idea where this is to even check it; can anyone advise please? Car has FSH at main dealer.

Your best bet Duncan is get the car on a ramp to pin point the leak.It might be a slight split somewhere.
