A friend I work with has got such a system on his Mitsubishi L200. He's got this box on the dashboard which shows which battery the car is charging and also if the main battery goes flat it will switch to the other battery automatically to start the car. Think that's how it works anyway, tbh...

There may be certain 5w30 oils you can get away with mate. But not 10w40, that grade is old hat now and pretty much all modern engines use thinner grades of oil. Euro car parts have good offers on all the time, keep a look out and you'll get your oil for what, 30 quid maybe? I'd just get the...

Best bet is to phone round a few local garages mate and see what the going rate is. An extra twenty quid for a garage you can trust is worth it.

That quick word about synthetic is very true! Hence Castrol have been lableing some of their Magnatec oils as fully synthetics which is very misleading.
