    DPF clean

When you said the warning light can't back on after the regen, was that the DPF light or the engine management light? I had an issue with mine going into limp mode with an engine management light on when at cruising speeds. Checked it with an OBDII reader and the code I got was P00AF, which...

    Pro Racing OBD3

Anyone got any experience with these? Supposed to plug into the OBDII port and give 30% increase in BHP and Torque.

Passenger Front Window Switch Module Fault

I dismantled the passenger door window switch, cleaned it with contact cleaner and cotton buds and reassembled it. It resolved all the issues I mentioned about and the problem has not returned since. That was in March '23.

    Common Faults? Try these first.

Not sure if it's true or not, but I recently read that there's a feature built into the car that if it deems the oil to have degraded, it shuts off the DPF auto regeneration function. This warning will only show up on Honda Diagnostic equipment, so even if an oil change is done at home or by a...

    Valve Stem Seals

I resolved this issue with a Turbo Cleaner Spray. I don't think it was directly related to the valve stem seal job, but possibly became an issue as the car was sitting up for a while when I was doing the seals. Maybe just coincidence though.

    Common Faults? Try these first.

Hi All, My Accord has been subject to a few of the common faults that I see others posting about here. I just wanted to share a few adorable fixes, before you go out and replace expensive parts or fork out for a garage to repair them. 1. Passenger window switch - The relay in this is...

Clutch Bite Point and Wastegate Stick

I'm having a similar issue, but slightly worse. I had the car off the road for over a month while I was doing the valve stem seals. Since then, the car is going into limp mode, generally while cruising at a constant speed or left idling, paired with a check engine light. The OBDII reading is...

Clutch Bite Point and Wastegate Stick

I'm having a similar issue with the P00AF code and the car going into limp mode. Did you get this sorted and if so, what did you do with it?

    Valve Stem Seals

So, since doing the valve stem seals, I'm occasionally getting an engine warning light along with the car going into limp mode, usually while cruising above 100kmph. When I connect the ODB2 reader, I'm getting P00AF, which is a faulty turbo actuator reading, I believe. I hit erase, turn the...

    Valve Stem Seals

So, I finally got everything back together yesterday and after a bit of bleeding airlocks and some persuasion, I got the car started and it's running smoother and quieter than before and no white smoke on start-up. I managed to tackle the job without removing the head or the timing chain. I...

    Camshaft cap bolts

I was onto my local Honda dealer and they want €155 for the full set of 22 bolts. Seems a bit pricey for some bolts, no?

    Camshaft cap bolts

I replaced valve stem seals on my '09 i-dtec yesterday, but when I was putting the cam caps back on, 2 of the bolts snapped. I managed to get them out, but does anyone know where I can order a new set of these bolts? Also, I was following the torque spec I found online, which was 22Nm. Can...

    Valve Stem Seals

I can't seem to get the cam shaft that is connected directly to the timing chain off. I removed the tensioner, but it doesn't allow enough slack to slip the chain off. Is it possible to do without removing the whole engine?

    Valve Stem Seals

I'm about to tackle a change of valve stem seals on my '09 2.2 i-dtec. Anybody have tips, photos, videos or write-ups? Looking to do it without removing the head, if possible.

    Heated Seat Drivers Side

Very helpful, thank you. I don't think it bothers me enough to buy a new driver's seat, but if it's a connection issue, then it's worth digging around. Only reason it really bothers me is that they are full leather seats and can be quite cold at 6:30 am in the winter on my commute to work. The...
