Drive shaft Saga... Thinking of saying goodbye to the Accord...

Splines on the shaft... I dont want to throw more money at a used part - no idea if its any good, whether the part is in good condition etc or even has good condition splines... no second hand driveshafts in the North East that we could find so my cousin could inspect the part before installing...

Drive shaft Saga... Thinking of saying goodbye to the Accord...

Aaarrgh! Quick history - bought my Accord froma dealer who lied about the driveshafts being replaced - got £600 off him by threatening to take it to Trading Standards. Have managed to replace 1 passenger driveshaft as I could get the part - despite trying very hard to locate a driveside shaft...

Guess the problem and repair cost...

Ok, Got the money off the garage that sold me the car - put it into my garage - they put it onto the ramp and could see the wheel wobble on the passenger side. They replaced the inner CV joint as they couldnt source a driveshaft... its so frustrating but it had minimal impact - the wobble has...

    Automatic boot opening not working...

Hi, Sorry if this has been discussed at length... I did search but couldn't find it. My 2004 Accord Estate 2.4L has the automatic boot open off the key fob... when I press it - it tries to open but doesn't... The auto close off the boot button when it is opening still works... I'm guessing...

Guess the problem and repair cost...

Interestingly he email me today asking how we can resolve this and that he would offer me a partial refund to allow me to replace the driveshafts... I'm sure the letter sent using the consumer Direct website re. legal action has shown him my intent so hopefully I can resolve this with a refund...

If he didnt realise... why did he put it in main text advert of the Autotrader Add - selling it as a job done and positive of the car. His responsibility to check the car matches the advert that he has made...
