8th Gen 2.0 i-vtec timing chain replacement, unusual?

Hi All I'm currently looking around for a 2.0 i-vtec auto and as you are probably aware they are very rare. I sold mine about 6 months ago to buy a newer car but the whole Covid thing has made me think again and I'm looking to sort finances out an opt for a cheaper car again as I only do about...

    EPS issues or bushes?

No not since the MOT i expect when they were listed as an advisory. The steering does require quite regular corrections so that probably is the cause.

    EPS issues or bushes?

Hi All A couple of months ago I bought a 2009 2.0 i-vtec ES Gt from my local Honda dealer. It has 66k and fsh. When i first got the car I was delighted with how it drove and was enjoying the car with the exception with a slight knock from the front suspension when going over pot holes and...

    What is this worth?

Cheers. My gut feeling was that I'd of possibly gone for it if it was under 3.5k as it is low mileage and a what looks to be a nice example. It doesn't seem unusual for dealers to put a high price on the last gen 7's if they have low mileage.

    What is this worth?

Yeah it does, just seems a lot for the age of the car and you'd only be able to sell it on again later at a decent price to an enthusiast but it's just a sign of how well they hold their value.

    What is this worth?

Hi Al Currently looking to sell my 2012 Passat and save some cash and I've always had Japanese cars before and fancy returning to the fold. I've had accords in the past but never the 2.4 I wanted. Just stumbled upon this which looks great and very low miles but it's pricey. What do you think...

High mileage petrol accord - a good buy?

Admittedly I looked at one the last generation Legacy's with the 2.5cvt engine. I'm just not sure that I could put up with 23mpg around town and a max of 30mpg on a run.

High mileage petrol accord - a good buy?

Cheers for all the responses. I know 5k is a lot and I'd want a deal on it. The downside of Honda's holding their value I guess!

High mileage petrol accord - a good buy?

Yeah I don't disagree although if you do a search on autotrader for gen8 petrol accords there are next to none available. I saw a 59 plate with 60k for sale at a nearby Honda dealer recently for 9k. I'd be happier closer to the 4k mark from a dealer but I doubt they'll budge that much!

High mileage petrol accord - a good buy?

Hi All I'm desperately in the market for a new motor as i'm leaving my company car behind (change of job) next week. I will only be driving 3 miles to work and a few journeys a week to go and see local clients so therefore was ideally looking for a petrol motor and it has to be an estate as we...

    New motor - steering characteristics.

Well at least I'm not alone. I was going to book the car in for a thorough check but starting to think this is normal and therefore I think I'm going to leave it. Its a car that will do me for 1-2 years so ill maybe leave it at that. Did buy a set of fn2 alloys with Bridgestone tyres but also...

    New motor - steering characteristics.

Thanks for sorting the link. I thought mine had hydraulic power steering. I'll check in the morning.

    New motor - steering characteristics.

Just spotted a thread from the past that describes one of the feelings i've been having when turning and going around roundabouts. http://http://typeaccord.co.uk/forum/topic/2547-newbie-one-concern/page-2 Apparently it's the variable servo power steering that causes the steering wheel to...
