Hey all I've not been on here since I sold my white 6th gen a while back..
Ok so I pick up the above car and am fully aware that due to the high value of the cats they are common for theft (£450 offered by a cat scrapper in mcr) so I'm going to stop this happening to me by having mine removed, I...
Yes me too thank god couldn't be doing with the hassle. I had bought a decat pipe from Germany just to take away the risk but decided on getting rid of the car.
I have seen a few with cats nicked.
Hey, the car is gone and to be fair he was ace. Looked under the car and said yep original cat then told me his plan was to pull the cat off and weigh it in for £250 them strip the car out, banger race it then once it's dead he will scrap it to get his money back.
Just leaves me with a decat...
Hi guys I'm selling my car tomorrow but the guy wants to make sure it has the original cat as he is going to race the car so so that he doesn't try it on and tell me it's not original to get it cheaper how can I identify myself that it has the original as I'm sure he will think he has me by the...
Sounds like a blocked fuel filter mate which is a fairly straight forward change at a garage or possible blocked fuel pump.
Maybe worth going to a garage and get them to test it.
I've had a measure and it's 41cm.
Yes there was one on eBay that had the cat nicked. You would have to buy a cat at £50 then a flexi section at £40 then a middle box at £60 so quite a costly theft
As above I'm looking to do away with the cat due to the fact a fair few have been stolen not far from me so if I get rid of mine now and put one there that clearly doesn't look oem I will save myself the hassle of having to replace the various bits that get damamaged if it gets stolen.
Well today I tackled the belts job.
Took both belts off and started the car and the noise remained tbh it isn't that loud maybe just the Honda engine noise.
Finally got the air-con/alt belt on and started the car and managed to get the tension right first time, fired up the air-con and all is...
Ok so I went to a place in Bolton and got an universal twin tail pipe back box and used a piece of flexible exhaust tubing to marry up to the pipe leading to the middle box.
She does sound a bit more fruity but definitely not obnoxious just looks alot better, the box was £50, a metre of...
All sorted hopefully I've put the longer air-con belt back on and with a warm engine there is no squeal at all with air-con on or off. Truth will be in whether she squeals when the engine is cold.
Jesus mate that lingshonda is awesome thankyou very much it shows absolutely everything even different options of gear knob and front badge.
I will tackle the belts and thanx also I feel at ease now that I can take both belts off and run the engine to narrow down the noise. Hopefully with...
