    20i-Vtec: Automatic Vs Manual

We have an '09 Civic in the family that has had the clutch squeak when pressed since at least 2011 when we bought it. The clutch works flawlessly and is currently at around 100K km (yeah it doesn't get driven that much, but it survived two novice drivers so there's that..)

    Tailgate again!

Open the file named HONDAESM.HTML with Internet Explorer. When it opens you first have to 'Allow blocked content', and later, when it asks if you want to close the window, answer 'No'. You should now get a minimized Explorer window which you then resize to your liking. You should then see the...

    Buying a 2.4 Type S ?!

I don't know about performance after reflashing, but I've got a 2008 TypeS with 140 thousand km (around 90 thousand miles) and it drives great, feels sporty and has more than enough power and zip to perform anything I need it to. It's also decently comfortable. You probably know all about the...

    Live Data

Judging by what others are quoting on the forum, I'd say the 24mpg is low for that car. I suggest checking other threads for similar issues, maybe something simple comes up to try (for example you can start browsing suggestions here...

    Live Data

Going off a quick online search, absolute throttle position seems to be the reading off the throttle position sensor, which doesn't have to have any particular meaning (ie. it can be 20% for wide open throttle or 67% for closed throttle) and the relative throttle position is after the ECU...

    Accord 2011 suspension issue.

Perhaps the ball joints? Maybe one of them is loose. It definitely would make sense given that you don't experience the noise when you're cornering. I'm thinking the car might be putting just enough lateral force on the joint at that moment so that it doesn't have any play. But when going in a...

    Throttle body

You've got a diesel? As far as I'm aware the throttle body (the butterfly valve position) is closely related to engine power in gasoline engines, but in diesels it functions a little differently - the engine power depends on the amount of fuel injected, so your APP sensor should be the ECU's...

Injector cleaner and fuel filter on 2.4 petrol

Ah, that explains it, thanks for your answer man!

Injector cleaner and fuel filter on 2.4 petrol

I haven't found any conclusive evidence surrounding the fuel filter on 2.4 K24A3 units (mine in particular is in a CL9 2008 TypeS accord). On a few websites and in the HTML manual I've seen a part of the fuel pump a$$embly labeled 'fuel filter', but it doesn't really seem like a serviceable...

    Pairing bluetooth phone

Oh right. That does indeed look phone-related haha. Don't want to sound patronizing but did you check the owner's manual? I know mine has a load of radio-unit-related pages, I can check it later today, maybe it says something about the controls yours has as well (they usually print a single...

    Pairing bluetooth phone

I'm a.s.suming you're right-hand-drive so the controls on the lower left of the steering wheel might be the display controls that you use to change type of fuel consumption display (on my car it's right where the odometer is displayed) and reset the trip recording. I'm not aware the 7th gen...

    Replacing Clutch

I agree with this, especially if you enjoy the car and can see yourself driving it a foreseeable future. Also, after the clutch + DMF job you really shouldn't have more major expenses for a fair couple of miles (especially not something so labour-intensive).

    Replacing Clutch

My acquaintance has a 2.2 saloon (2003 IIRC) and currently counting around 250 thousand miles. The car is still driven everyday, including long trips fully loaded. From what I've heard, manual gearboxes on these cars rarely have any issues during their lifespan with regular gear oil changes...
