I haven‘t replaced the EGR, I cleaned it, I removed the blanking plate it as it was running in limp mode. I think i will have to blank it permanently and get the EGR deleted.

I have blanked off the EGR valve and it starts ok in limp mode but I now have the code P1401 showing, is this due to the EGR valve being blanked off??

When I get it off will I be able to see if it is slightly open?

fuel pressure relief valve has been checked and all the injection system has been checked by a specialist and they are getting good fuel rail pressure.
