    Diagnosing Aircon Problems

The engine didn't stay at 98 degrees, that was a peak value. It was usually around 83-85 degrees. If the matrix is blocked why do I get a blast of hot air to begin with that lasts for about 5 mins? If the matrix was blocked surely I wouldn't get any hot air. Unless the blockage moves away when...

    Diagnosing Aircon Problems

The diagnostic shows both flaps move as the temp is adjusted. What appears to be an issue is both pipes into and out of the water control valve are cool. No hot water going into the matrix then even tho the valve opens and closes as it should and isn't leaking. Engine coolant temp peaked at 98...

    Diagnosing Aircon Problems

So after a few weeks of monitoring my Aircon it seems I can only have hit and cold air separately, not together as you would normally expect to get a stable temp. I initially get cold conditioned air blasting from the vents when the engine is switched on then after a while when the coolant is up...

    Diagnosing Aircon Problems

Well it seems to have rectified itself as I've had perfectly mixed Aircon over the weekend and this morning with diagnostic mode showing normal readings in line with most other people's. Will monitor it in the meantime. Sent from my XT1572 using Tapatalk

    Diagnosing Aircon Problems

Hi guys I used this excellent thread to get to the bottom of my Aircon issues which turned out to be the pressure switch but it has uncovered an issue with hot air instead. I don't get any on any setting. The water valve works and moves as I change the temp setting on the controller and the...

    New headlights fitted

It looks great now although the offside unit sticks out a couple of mm to the wing which is slightly annoying but as i said these aren't genuine honda parts. Couldn't afford those, lol. Sent from my XT1572 using Tapatalk

    New headlights fitted

The lense covers are different at the sides and for some reason there is a redundant connector that isn't used by my replacement units. These are not OEM Honda units. Works perfectly well tho. Sent from my XT1572 using Tapatalk

    New headlights fitted

Fitted a set of facelift style headlights as my old ones were continually misting and corroded on the outside of the lenses. It was an MOT advisory last time so thought I'd change them. [/IMG] Sent from my XT1572 using Tapatalk

    How loud?

Looks like an engine replacement could be cheaper than fixing the chains. Found an engine for £450 with half the mileage mine has from a 2006 accord. Sent from my XT1572 using Tapatalk

    How loud?

I tried my local Honda dealer and they said I don't need to change the timing chain so must be the aux belt that needs changing. Couldn't get past the main desk to speak to a technician or get a quote to replace the chains. Sent from my XT1572 using Tapatalk
