    Clutch Help

The good news is... I simply hadn't bled the system properly after fitting m/c. Working on my own I couldn't see what the effect of pedal pushing on the slave was. Paranoia crept in and told me I had bigger issues. Rebled with ezeebleed and have since done a 200 mile round trip this afternoon...

    Clutch Help

Yep - that's what I thought.. I think my 2007 diesel tourer with 165k on the clock is no more - not economic to have the clutch replaced, versus the value of the car - unless anyone near to me in Oxfordshire knows better?

    Clutch Help

more of a concern though is that it is possible to move the clutch actuation arm (down by the slave cylinder) by hand - this can't be right can it?

    Clutch Help

Hi Mike - there was a blanking plug on the inlet where the clutch hard line runs to (it was holding the o-ring in place) but the part that the hose from the reservoir connects to in this case was made of plastic, fixed on with a single screw. I didn't think to unscrew/remove it to see if it had...

    Clutch Help

Also - maybe a stupid question but when I switched the master cylinders over, I fitted the reservoir tube to the feed on the m/c but didn't check - they aren't supplied with any blanking plug in them are they???

    Clutch Help

Thread resurrection and I'm after some clutch help again... Replacement master cylinder had been weeping a bit lately, today the pedal went to the floor. I have just replaced the master cylinder again, ***uming that it was the culprit - HOWEVER now that I look down at the slave, I see that the...

    clutch slave movement

Scrap that - it is the master cylinder that has failed again... wet with fluid underneath. Not a fun job to change

    clutch slave movement

Hi all - can anyone tell me how much movement there should be in a correctly working clutch slave on a 2007 diesel tourer? I replaced the master cylinder a year or more ago, which dramatically improved some clutch issues I was having. Now, I fear that the slave is giving up - it does loose a...

    emergency accord help

Matt - that's brilliant, thank you. Pictures are a great help, or will be in the morning - picking up replacement glass first thing and will get straight into it. Door already stripped down apart from the trim parts around the glass, so your guide is going to be a massive help - thanks for...

    emergency accord help

Hey all - not looked in here for a while as my Accord Tourer has been behaving itself recently (other than power steering hose leak, cooler replacement and new radiator last week) Today, whilst blatting down a dual carriageway - massive "Bang" like a shotgun and my drivers side passenger window...

    front caliper clearance - help!

Cheers - I am sure that from an engineering point of view the current clearance is fine but it looks/feels unsettlingly close! I have just ordered some solid 3mm spacers for the front. I ran an identical set of steels on the car a couple of winters ago and obviously didn't notice the tight...

    front caliper clearance - help!

Hi one and all - every year I fit winter wheels and tyres to my car. Usually bought on fleabay second hand in the summer. This year I have a set of Civic 16" x 6.5J ET 55 steel wheels to go on. They should fit by all accounts & they do fit. HOWEVER - front brake caliper clearance to the rear...

    Clutch Help

Didn't see anything amiss with the clutch pedal thankfully - but will go back and give it a proper once over, once my back has recovered...

    Clutch Help

Cracked it - connected the ezeebleed straight to the tube from the reservoir - flushed system with fresh fluid at 10psi. After closing the slave bleed nipple, I whipped the ezeebleed off and connected the reservoir, topped it off, then "burped" any air out of the tube between reservoir & cmc -...

    Clutch Help

Righto - thanks to Saj's excellent advice, have got old cmc out and replaced with new, all back together Now - the ezibleed kit I bought (Gunson) has no lid that will fit the honda master cylinder! Looking at it - with the slave still in the original positition, would it not be easier to...
