  • mine was the lock that was faulty rather than the raise/lower function. If its that then you need to strip it down, there are two circular switches that rotate as the motor runs, inside them one part has contacts on the other holds a metal piece which is sprung to make contact with the other piece, Mine had become weak and were not making the correct contact, bend back, refit, reset battery, done
