Performance difference between 5 speed and 6 speed diesels

From memory, I only had the 5 speed diesel, the first gear was only a crawler gear. I think would effect how quick you can get the car to 60mph.

Car alarm going off when it's been snowing or very cold

What's the health of your battery like? Usually car alarms monitor the voltage. If there is a voltage drop it can set the alarm off.

    OBD Bluetooth Unit

I got a refund. But has now made me more suspicious of other ones. I think one was recommended on here and tested working: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221188848048?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Might revisit at some point.

    OBD Bluetooth Unit

I think I feel foul to this. A couple of months I bought an ELM 327 to work with the app on the iphone. You need a wifi one to work with the iphone. Tried a couple of different iphones, my 5, my work 5c, my wife's 5. Couple of different cars - the Accord, my wife's mini countryman and my...

Old skool (ATR) vs pre skool (euro r)

From memory I think the CL7 handling is equally as good, but the ride is a bit more compliant. Then again lots of options on suspension front if you want to improve the handling further.

Old skool (ATR) vs pre skool (euro r)

My CL7 Euro R is up for sale at a very good price as I've just taken delivery of a new car. Not had an ATR, but been a passenger in one. Very nice. But only have a 5 speed box. They are slightly annoying in that you drop out of vtec between gear changes because of the gearing. Pretty rapid...

    Engine Stutters @ Low Speed

I suggested plugs as you can take then out and given their condition get an idea of whats going on with the engine. http://motogymkhana.pl/katana/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/spark-plugs-guide.jpg I suspect a failing coil pack, possibly.

LPG or Diesel? which is more efficient? opinions please.

To be pedantic.... Diesel is mor efficient :-) LPG is less energy dense than petrol IIRC. Just its cheaper and cleaner. I would do the maths on converting to lpg. But see how you go just paying for the extra petrol. If you get extra miles running 99 over 95. If its worth paying the premium over...

    big money oil

I know of the company and they are usually pretty good. So I thought maybe the picture is just for illustration, but then it says £50 a litre, so that's 4 litres? 5.9? Thought so... Used to have a 2005 i-CDTI exec saloon a few years ago.

Thats the VTEC for you. True driving round town isn't going to be that economical. Or given it the beans everywhere and it will drink. But on a cruise on the motorway at 70 to 80mph with the six speed box it can pretty economical. True for the Euro R, same for the 2.4 Type S as well. I guess its...
