Just posting this as a recommendation for Fahad at Premier Tuning in Leeds. My 2011 Type S estate had been remapped before I bought it in 2019 but I never got details of the remap. I ***umed it was a Stage 1 remap and as the car got older always wondered about squeezing some more power out with a stage 2 remap/ dpf and egr job by Fahad. Part of the reason was my thinking that if it made the car nicer to drive I would keep the car for longer and it would save me a lot more than the cost of the remap and travel if I got a couple more years out of it.
Finally took the plunge this year which involved a trip from Rep. of Ireland and a 2 night stay in UK to make sure I didn't miss any ferry booking and wasn't travelling at crazy hours. I made a short golfing holiday out of my spare time on the way over and the way back so overall the trip was very enjoyable. Fahad was great to communicate with all the way from my initial enquiry and made sure he would be available to work on the car once I dropped it off to him and a very sound chap overall. The whole job only took a couple of hours including giving the car a full diagnostic check - turbo, injectors, glow plugs etc which I was happy to hear all passed with flying colours. He found the DPF had already been removed but the egr valve had not been done so he did this with the remap. He asked me about how the car had been driving saying the previous remap had set it to give a burst of power in each gear but that the power looked like it would drop off very quickly, and that I should find his map gave a smoother power delivery for longer through the gears. This is exactly what I had found with the car before bringing it to Fahad and it drives much nicer now. Smooth power in first gear for much longer then before, bulling better at lower revs, no sign that I can see of black smoke. My 275,000 mile accord has a new life with the remap. I'd highly recommend a trip to Fahad if you are considering a remap, the whole experience was as good as I was expecting having read lots of previous recommendations.
