Hi all,
My diesel threw an engine management light a few weeks ago, coinciding with me noticing exhaust fumes in the cabin. I took it to my local Honda specialist (who I bought it from) and he diagnosed a split in the egr pipe and fixed it for very little. This fixed the exhaust smell, and it's been fine for the last couple of weeks.
However, today it produced a DPF light and went in to limp mode, so I guess this isn't an active regeneration.....oddly coincidental.
I've only had the vehicle a few weeks, and it does 90 miles a day, 70 to 80mph...
I'll take it back...but I'm guessing that the EGR valve and or DPF are likely clogged full of soot beyond repair?
Anyone got any good news/ideas?
Thanks
Chris
