    If this a tourer then why not adjust the shoes, inside the brake drum? Do not over tighten the cables, six clicks on lever is a minimum, any tighter and goodbye linings, or pads as the case may be.

    The mk8 is even better and auto is brilliant! only thing to worry about is this DPF thing, done 40,000 since acquiring no problems yet. Same regime as with the 7, oil every 6,000 new filter 12,000, The load area is smaller though due to the rear suspension revision.

    Sticking rear pads, stab bar rubbers, apart from that I had no bother with mine, sold it on at 210,000 miles, to go auto/diesel, mk8 tourer.
