I had to change one on my 8th gen. It was looking like a scuttle panel removal to get to the back of them which I was dreading, so thought I'd give the pliers a go first on the off chance, gently twisted and pulled back and forth and luckily it came out. If it hadn't I would have removed the panel.

Just checked the honda parts catalogue and it appears both jets, as you said, should be the same so there's the culprit. Even though the moulded scuttle is different heights to clear the wiper arm I would still have a gap if the correct jet was fitted, Thanks for checking it out for me. Yes...

That's odd, the scuttle panel under the windscreen is a one part moulded piece and the moulding is higher on the nearside of mine, the jets are both the same and just fit into the scuttle panel. Just been out and measured the height of the scuttle where the jets fit in, it's 38mm offside and...

Sounds easy by those instructions, but is a bit of a ball ache job I found, those top bolts are awkward to access and remove/replace. Never knew about the 40mm stuff, probably knackered by now the new one I fitted, Doh!
