    Clutch and Flywheel going?

Hi all, Ive just realised ive potentially fcuked my car and arrive here in a panic due to having to spend alot of money that I dont have right now. Basically I've had a judder when pulling away in 1st and an occassional squeal (for about a year or two). There is that random click on the clutch...

Aux Drive Belt length - Petrol 2.0

Quick update. Fitting the 1685 has brought the proper range pointer into the correct position. Fitting it was a doddle too having seen my mechanic do it so many times a couple of weeks ago. All you need is a 14mm long reach spanner. A ratchet/socket is useless as theres not much room in front of...

Aux Drive Belt length - Petrol 2.0

So after phoning round motor factors this morning it turns out the 7pk1690 is a nightmare to get your hands on unless you go direct to Honda and pay around £50 inc VAT. Ive just went and purchased a Gates 7pk1685 for under £15...

Aux Drive Belt length - Petrol 2.0

So after much stressing and searching around ive found the belt required is actually a 7pk1690 or honda part 38920 RBA 013. This is a shorter belt for the EPS models unlike the Hydraulic models. Personally i havent a clue about EPS or Hydraulic models but i know mine is EPS which makes sense...

Aux Drive Belt length - Petrol 2.0

Hi, Hoping someone can help. So I bought this belt from Euro Car Parts as it was the exact match for my reg. http://www.eurocarparts.com/search/202779165 Took it to my mechanics today and he tried fitting it - turned out it was too long? So I went back to ECP and they only had this one...

Is there anyway i can get just the rubber boot? It seems a waste to buy one of these kits for a tiny piece of rubber

To change the aux Belt or not

Also the car is now approaching 89500 miles, i read somewhere on the forum thats approx clutch change time. Ive had the clicking in the clutch pedal for some time but know thats a common issue and not a simple fix

To change the aux Belt or not

Thanks guys. Appreciate this. Its just strange why the wd40 stopped the noise for a while. I might get the belt changed at some point. Now that i think of it, if i alter the way i take my foot off the clutch, slightly slower and give more gas it bypasses the squeal. It isnt as smooth a take off...

To change the aux Belt or not

I dont think it is due to the weather. Ive been noticing through wet and dry for some time. Does anyone know if its a shorter belt now on the petrol as well?

To change the aux Belt or not

Hi all, 2 quick questions in relation to my Honda Accord 2006 2.0 ivtec. There is a squealing/groan that has been coming intermittently when pulling away in low gears (1&2) at high revs. Mostly when pulling away in 1st. I've done little trouble shooting, a few weeks ago while the car was...

    Heat shield query

I got some advice from a mechanic friend and he said to just take the heat shield off, apparently no need for them in the uk due to the climate.... I got under the car and realised it was actually the top half of the heat shield that was removed last time and as suspected the other half is what...

    Heat shield query

Afternoon all, Quick question on the heat shield for my 7th gen accord 2.0. Couple of years ago I had this loud rattle from under the car. Wasn't in sync with the car being rev'd so i knew it was something loose - it would just appear randomly while the car was sitting idle. So i did what I do...

    rattle/crackling noise at high rev

Resolved. I was at my local mechanics today getting the annual service. Had the oil, oil filter, air filter changed and took him out for a drive to show the fault and its gone. Beauty. He reckons it was possibly the air filter not sitting right. Well chuffed.
