Ball joint splitter tool - size?

Sorry to hear it's a struggle - another option might be one of those pickle fork separators & if the whole joint is being replaced then yeah who cares about the boot - I saw someone split a ball joint with a scaffolding pole once but definitely not worth going there! - good luck and hope you...

Ball joint splitter tool - size?

Personally I hit the side of the arm where the joint goes through with a big hammer until it separates. I use a trolley jack under the bottom of the brake disc to take some weight off the joint first although that's not essential. I think those separators can mangle the rubber boot.

    Oil looks red

I guess a couple more weeks or so before you change it won't make any difference if it's been in a while already.

It won't stop that - it's low SAPS not no SAPS. It will always build up eventually.

    0W-30 or 5W-30

Low SAPS is important if your car has a DPF, if not then it doesn't matter.

Mine does it too, when pulling away from a standstill, but not very often. I read somewhere it's the rack, as also suggested above.

This explains the 5 different types of base stocks in oil. https://www.machinerylubrication.com/Read/29113/base-oil-groups After a big court case in the late 90s between Mobil and Castrol, oil companies are allowed to call Group 3 base stocks synthetic as well as Groups 4 and 5. The sheet says...

    Honda MTF3 Specs

In fairness to Redline they do recommend 75W for European Honda boxes https://cdn.opieoils.co.uk/pdfs/redline/MT-LV-70-75W-tds.pdf but MTL 75W80 for USA Acuras and Hondas. So maybe Honda use a thicker brew stateside. You're a role model of self restraint Faddy...nearly.
