What to Look for when buying 2006 Accord with 2.2cdti Engine?

It sounds like you have an exec with one of the higher specs and if it has a FSH that's a good start as long as the oil changes weren't done after an extended number of miles between them. The gen 7 doesn't have a DPF so it won't suffer the gen 8 problems you've heard of. Usual problems if they...

    2.4 petrol battery

Doesn't seem quite old enough for it to be dying especially in a petrol, sure it's battery and not charging circuit? Is your battery bay full? You can see from the battery ad you posted there are battery dimensions so just make sure your existing battery measurements match up.

    Oil Pump Chain Renewal

See the workshop manual in my signature, it has a description of oil pan removal for a CN1 ant it looks detailed enough but couldn't say if it's the same as the one you have. You need PC/laptop and IE to download and use it.

Impressed with my mpg, what's yours?

Fecked it up riding the clutch a bit (don't think clutch was slipping as was wearing poor footwear) but you get the idea.

Impressed with my mpg, what's yours?

@AdamG I don't think anybody read it like that tbh, this is an "impressed with your mpg thread" after all. I was trying to get from 40 to 80 mph in third gear as foot to floor fast as possible after a remap and believe me when I say the most impressive element of that test was the mpg...

    Diagnosing Aircon Problems

The original author will have to reinstate the pictures, if you haven't regasssed in 6 yrs and the car's been sitting for months possibly time for a visit. Mk 7 manual is in my signature, you can get tesing procedures from there.

Impressed with my mpg, what's yours?

I don't get it, shurely you mean filling the tank for a fiver or something? A pint of fuel wouldn't last long in any era and especially when cars were less efficient.

Impressed with my mpg, what's yours?

My inclination was that you'd get better mpg in cooler weather as the amount of oxygen is improved but it seems that winter diesel can have less energy value as refineries adjust properties to reduce the chance of gelling in colder weather, who knew.

PBox tuning. Just found in my Tourer. What is it?

I'm sure Fahad will have something to say but you've been running it for a year and it's causing no problems there doesn't seem to be much reason to remove it.

Power Steering High Pressure Hose - Advise

I'm sure it'll be fine, would've been interesting to see if a hydraulic hose firm could've made one up from the end fittings of your original. That's the only problem I found using a third party hose... the steering rack end of the hose is made up of bent pipe that isn't always true to the...

PBox tuning. Just found in my Tourer. What is it?

It's a cheap tuning box, they usually increase performance rather crudely compared to a designated remap. Is it running ok, pass MOT ok, MPG ok? https://www.otomoto.pl/oferta/jeep-bmw-toyota-honda-pbox-chip-tuning-nowy-ID6D7Wre.html?

Tourer Transmission mount part no 50860-SEF-E00

Looks like a part that needs to be imported from Japan so zero chance of finding it cheaper elsewhere, you get third party manufacturers of some renewable items but that's far too specialised. Contact or visit a scrappy and see if they'll remove one off for you, no reason why they wouldn't...

Power Steering High Pressure Hose - Advise

I'm not sure how you differentiate between aftermarket hoses in terms of quality but my guess is they are much of a muchness as they all seem to offer a 2 year warranty and as far as I know there haven't been any faillings reported since their availablitlity. My twenty odd quid hose is still...

    Front seats

It might be fixable if the foam isn't too bad but it's easy to do badly. If you have some skills it's mostly a question of using the right products....you'll need a backing, adhesive, leather filler and paint to match. Plenty of leather repair kits available and youtube is your friend.

Rust - like this - how bad and does it pass MOT?

If it's anything like the gen 7 the cause is mud and detritus trapped behind the plastic inner arch and the inner wing, no point doing anything external unless that's sorted as it 'll just be back in a few months.

    2012 Type S EPS Fail

Nice one, hope it lasts. Have you tried just turning LKAS system off? Give it time but the LKAS warning light may just reset itself after a while or after a long run. I don't know how true this is but I read on a comments section fron the U.S that the EPS unit was getting toasted by drawing...

Buying advice - 8th gen petrol

It's diesel vehicles they are hammering, petrol vehicles only need to meet Euro 4 standards to enter the ULEZ and they were introduced circa 2005.
