I’ve got an 8th gen tourer and haven’t noticed any difference between front or back.

Sounds like driveshaft issues to me too. Best way to upload photos is to use an image hosting site. I personally use imgur as it’s free and pretty easy to use.

Is yours a tourer or saloon? I think the power tailgate was only available on the tourer/estate cars. The boot button does not operate the power lift. Holding down the button on the key fob or in the driver’s footwell for about a second activates it, along with warning beeps and three hazard...

You're welcome. To be fair the ESM is a great resource, but it's fiddly to use and takes a while to get the hang of it.

Fingers crossed that works. You could also ask a UK importer if they could get the part for you, as it may be slightly cheaper and easier for you. For example tegiwa imports will usually try and get a part in from Japan if you email them.
