Yeah, that's what I did, plugged the white connector from my Connects2 aux into the empty port behind the centre console, but it didn't do anything... probably because the whole DVD unit was unplugged? coz I took everything out, unplugged and took out the DVD, then removed the centre...

any help chaps? to elaborate, it has built in 6 CD changer and Nav... how or where do I connect my aux adaptor? I took it off my non-Nav and non-6CD version CL7

woohoo, found another one 100 miles away, it's a lovely 07 CL9 even better coz not a huge fan of 8th Gen looks... with ADAS and all.. only thing missing is camera but not sure if they forgot to put that in.. think it's hot all the same specs as the 8th gen i was gonna go to look at and lesser...

also that I might run into issues with resetting service reminders, as I do all the work myself(that's how my 17yr old cl7 been running sweet)... but is that the sorta thing that I'll have to get done at dealers or can be taken care at home?

Finally going today to look at the car... any last things that I can quickly look at, like transmission or something? oh in fact I was reading on this forum about something dies a horrible death transmission wise or something after 75k miles, is that true? would that be the reason for selling...

there's another way that part of being lazy I usually use on my 7th gen fronts, coz they're push back ones as well, and that is I put a spanner flat across the piston and then use the wind back tool without the winding bit at the end... and that works a treat..

it is, coz whenever I fill up, it comes to 7-7.5 miles per litre... so based on above its between 31-34 MPG

exhaust and flexi downpipe ahsn't gone on mine yet... is that something that goes away with age on 8th gen?

Also one more thing, the add says it's got fancy adaptive cruise control and collision mitigation braking system... is that true or is it just to attract customers? coz it looks like the thing where the car automatically applies brakes while driving if someone steps in front... also what's this...

try liqui moly for petrol engines... but also have a look at cleaning your EGR and the egr plate, pretty easyish to do them... coz I've got an 03 CL7 with nearly 190k miles on the clock, and it gives me around 34 MPG with mixed driving, and I'm often slightly heavy footed...
