    Chirping when accelerating

Yes there will be 'slip' in an auto where the engine revs can initially rise faster than the road speed. All about moderating your right foot to give it just enough throttle. None of this explains your chirping sound though

    Chirping when accelerating

If it's an auto then won't have a clutch !

Original Diesel filter really worth buying ?

If it's a 2005 then it won't have a DPF and doesn't need the C3 oil highlighted above. A good 0W30 A5/B5 will be fine. I change mine every 6,000 miles as I think the standard interval is too long for the level of soot that the engine generates and may contribute to the timing chain wear but...

Injectors are coded in the ECU and so can't just move them around without the ability to re-program the ECU

Yeah struts on the tailgate. Bit of a fiddly job but very doable.

    Going from 205/55 to 205/60

Speedo's only have to have an accuracy of +/- 10% and more than often they read slightly higher than the actual speed. An indicated 70mph for an actual 67mph is well within the norm.

    Knocking from Rear of Tourer

Had it on stands today and checked everything but nothing loose. Found loads of stones stuck on top of the heat shield and as well as in the sill covers. Cleaned it all out so made today worthwhile but no idea if I’ve affected the noise.

    Knocking from Rear of Tourer

Thanks but no I've taken everything out of the boot and the noise is still there. Even taken the struts off and run down the road without them for a very short period in case they were the problem but still there.

    Knocking from Rear of Tourer

My Tourer has had a knocking from the rear when it goes over bumps for literally years. I have looked at everything trying to find it. Stripped the suspension down, struts and springs off, all trim out of boot and been through at least two MOT’s with no problems so confident it’s not a major...

    Alarm continually going off

After 30 mins of ripping the boot trim out I've managed to find and remove the sounder so at least the alarm won't be going off now! Taken it apart and got the battery out as well so will look for a replacement later. Also found a small puddle of water/ice in the corner so will make sure the...

    Alarm continually going off

Seems I may have a similar problem as my alarm has started to randomly go off today on my 2004 Tourer. Main battery is fine at 12.5V but I expect the cold weather has killed the backup. Anybody provide any details on exactly where to find it? Which side of the boot for starters. :)

    Cruise control clutch switch problem

Pretty sure there will be a nut above and below the bracket. To move the switch closer to the clutch pedal then 'loosen' the top nut and 'tighten' the lower nut. Nip them both up tight when done. Only thought before doing this why is the clutch pedal sitting lower than it should be? You...

Interior light not working. How to access?

I had a similar problem and turned out to be the little switches in the roof panel that actually control the feed when they are pressed or not. Apparently its fairly common and I managed to get a pair from eBay for about £5. From memory the clear cover on lights in the panels pull off and...
