Has the fuel filter been changed for a non genuine one? Best to use a Honda one. Matt wrote a good guide here: http://typeaccord.co.uk/forum/topic/20203-8th-gen-diy-i-dtec-fuel-filter-replacement/

will 8th gen tyres fit 7th gen tourer?

Watch your insurance. If you had to claim they might not payout as the car hasn't got he right size tyres on, you know how devious they are these days. This site is quite good: http://www.wheelcalc.com/ Also look at Civic wheels, I think they use 225/45/R17

    2010 bluetooth/usb

Yep phone calls only on the Accord, no bluetooth streaming. There is a USB socket in the central armrest box, and an aux socket. Charges iPhone etc and shows track names. Does not work with Android, so I have my songs on a USB stick. Have a good read around about the idtec auto, some struggle to...

    Knocking Steering - PolyBush?

Honda drop links are £56 each, the anti-roll bar bushes are £6.28 each http://www.lingshondaparts.com/honda_car_parts_selection_pfk.php?block_01=17TL1901&block_02=B__2710&block_03=3339

    Knocking Steering - PolyBush?

Hi and welcome Tony, The Accord is quite a low volume car, so I guess they haven't bothered to make poly bushes for it. I would expect either the drop links or anti-roll bar mounting bushes are worn. I think the Civic suffers a lot with drop link wear, so maybe our Accord is the same. I think...

What colour was the pollen filter from the factory ?

There are often 2 types available, a carbon activated one which is black/grey, said to help filter smells from outside, and a standard plain one, which would be white or yellow I would think. Carbon ones usually cost a bit more. As you say, if you don't know its a carbon one, you could...

Parking Sensors not working, fuse location? control unit location?

Hi Gino, Might also be worth posting this on Honda Karma in the 8th gen Accord section. They may be able to give you more info. My window global open/close can be a bit hit and miss also, I've just put it down to bad reception, but I could be wrong. Been using it quite a bit in this recent...

Parking Sensors not working, fuse location? control unit location?

There is also a small fuse box in the passenger footwell, on the plastic panel by the front of the door.

Parking Sensors not working, fuse location? control unit location?

Might be worth having it diagnosed by Honda. They might offer some goodwill towards the repair cost, as you are only just out of warranty.

Parking Sensors not working, fuse location? control unit location?

Hi and welcome, Being a 2012 model is it not under the 3 year warranty still? If it is a Honda dealer would fix it for free. Does your car have ADAS, the lane keeping, collision braking and active cruise control. If it does you will have a camera behind the rear view mirror? Rich

    Climate control

Am I right in recalling there is sometimes a problem with the linkage from the dash button to the heater valve becoming detached? Some users have had problems with no heat in winter, so I guess if the linkage is jammed you might get a problem getting it to full cold?

Fan is behind the glovebox, is it the effect of greater airflow from there to the passenger vents? Have you measured the vent air temp with a gauge?

    Tow Bar Electrics

This may help a bit: http://hondakarma.com/threads/towbar-wiring-2010-accord.8436/ Further than that, there is an official Honda website where you can pay for workshop manual access, either by the hour or day etc. This may have the diagrams you need. Can anyone remember its name, I cant.....

    Tow Bar Electrics

Be careful messing with the elecs, make sure you disconnect the battery, one guy on here 'fried' his fusebox connecting a reversing camera. Cost him a lot to get it fixed. On Lings Honda Parts it shows various kits for the trailer elecs, but they are expensive...

    ATF fluid change

Just did mine today at 77k miles. Fluid that came out was yucky. Nice clean cherry coloured Honda ATF in there now. Took almost 3 litres. Sump plug is a 1\4" box socket. Seems to change gear more smoothly, worth doing before 75k that Honda recommend.

    The Accord Coupe ?

There are a few owners on here who have them. They are all 2.7V6 autos I think. Nice cars, but as with all big engined ones, higher bills, fuel, road tax also. The cambelt change is pricey also, and I think they get a bit noisy with age from the tappets.

    Vibrations on VIII gen

Seems to affect the diesel more, maybe its the extra torque or a different type of shaft. Hoping its not going to happen to my petrol...famous last words..

    Maintenance codes

Have a read of these 2 articles 'pinned' at the top of the 8th gen section: http://typeaccord.co.uk/forum/topic/1919-8th-gen-service-reminder-codes/ http://typeaccord.co.uk/forum/topic/13970-resetting-your-service-reminder/ SvRS is turned off on my car, so I just do 12months or 12500 miles...
