    Hands free problem

Can be difficult to make calls with it. I only really use it to answer the damn PPI compensation calls I seem to get all the time, although I've never had PPI!!! Try the reset command in the handbook. Wipes any old phones, numbers and resets the config.

    ATF fluid change

Looks like there is also a small in-line filter on the top of the transmission which could be changed also, but maybe at higher mileages. No.4 in the diagram £31. http://www.lingshondaparts.com/honda_car_parts_selection_pfk.php?block_01=17TL1901&block_02=ATM0700&block_03=3336

Recommend me a good European oil for my Accord

Hi and welcome Petar. I'm using Castrol Magnatec 5w/30 Fully Synth C3 in mine. It is rated API CN which is what Honda require for petrol engines. I also have the R20 engine. Some people recommend 0w/20 for better fuel consumption, but it is a lot more expensive. 5w/30 is a lot cheaper than...

    Vibrations on VIII gen

See this post, it might be a driveshaft problem, seems to happen on the iDtec model for some reason. http://hondakarma.com/threads/vibrations-during-acceleration.1376/

    ATF fluid change

Excellent guide mate, thanks. Did the fluid pour in ok through the dipstick tube? Was it slow? There is a filler hole further under the battery, but access is probably bad.

    8th Gen HID Install

Yeah it isnt really too hard, just need to take your time, the hardest bit is unclipping it under the headlights, best to get your hand behind and gently push it out. If you have a GT model, the front chin spoiler is taped/ screwed to the bumper, it stays on, no need to remove it separately, it...

Honda accord Type S new centre box £1,200?!

£189 each side on that Lings website, so £1200 is a joke. They obviously don't want the work.

car won´t start efter headunit replacment

Excellent mate, look forward to seeing it. Will be a world first, I don't think anyone has done a DIY on this yet on the 8th gen 2.0. Take some good pics of the drain plug and the fill hole. Watch the plastic under tray. Its best to order a few spare clips, as they tend to break when they get...

car won´t start efter headunit replacment

Glad to hear its fixed. Be interested to see how you get on with the autobox fluid change, as mines needs doing soon. Had a look at the weekend and the filler cap is right under the battery and the ECU, Looks a pain to access, or maybe a bottle of fluid with a flexi hose would do it? Honda...

Not for sale any more as I've realised it worth keeping, as its reliable and economical!

RUBBISH Fuel Consumption - 8th gen diesel auto tourer

Yep I think if you want economy the manual geared iDtec is the way to go, but manuals seem to have some clutch and DMF problems at high mileage. Petrol or diesel an Auto box always robs you of at least 10% economy, maybe more.

RUBBISH Fuel Consumption - 8th gen diesel auto tourer

The iDtec auto is more suited to long motorway runs, where I think you would get much better figures. My 2.0 petrol auto does over 40mpg on the motorway and I average 32mpg around town semi-urban, plus I don't have any tractor sounds or DPF worries. Paul, maybe consider returning the car for a...

Questions about the overhead ambient light

Its just in the map light console. Its blue on most models, red on the GT models. Have a look on Lings at the parts diagrams, or speak to Holdcroft honda. Might be cheaper to just modify yours with a blue LED.

    Some questions about my accord

Those are good mpg figures for a 15 year old car with that mileage on it. Check also the brakes are all releasing properly, no binding. For the centre caps, once resprayed, you can get Honda self adhesive centre cap badges off Ebay.
