    Just got myself a bargain!

One of these... I found this "Pioneer DEH-X5800BT Car Stereo.", while browsing the Argos Mobile app: http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/4768537.htm I am delighted with it!!! It's replacing a faulty jvc I got and honestly sound wise it blows the similar priced jvc away! But best...

Synthetic Castrol Magnatec 5W-30 into F20B6 engine

That being said I looked it up on the castrol website the other day (which I should have done in the first place lol) and as you say it recommends a 5w30 ford spec. Think it's ford spec. Crap I can't remember! But yeah it's a 5w30 anyway. Best thing to do is try it. Stick a 5w30 in and if it...

    Drivers side lean

Can only ***ume whatever snapped that Spring has damaged something else as well. If it was me I'd throw it in a garage and get it up on a ramp so they can have a good look.

What do you think of the 2.0?

It'll be a manual I'll get matey so hopefully that won't be quite so thirsty. I do love the look of the 8th gen. What do you get to the gallon do you think?

What do you think of the 2.0?

Because in the next few months I'm hoping to be changing my W reg 6 th gen 2.0 for an 8 th gen 2.0. What do you think of your 2.0 litres? I don't want a diesel as I think the dpf will be a pain so petrol it is. What are they like to drive? Has anyone owned both a 6th and an 8th gen to compare...

    Remap

Thing is, on that mileage that clutch is surely on borrowed time anyway and will surely want replacing at some point. May as well get a remap and let that clutch go out on a high lol

Car struggles with air con on.

After the hot weather this week bud I'd rather leave it working and put up with it slowing my car down when in use. Last Tuesday I was nearly melting and that was with the air con. Without it and I would have ended up a puddle of fat, sweat and alcohol lol. I'll leave it as it is for now and...

Car struggles with air con on.

That's a good point actually mate, I never thought of that. Come to think of it I did notice a while back that the compressor doesn't exactly sound smooth lol. But then I thought well it's getting cold so it can stay sounding a little rough. Certainly don't want to be buying a compressor for it...

Car struggles with air con on.

Yeah the leads, plugs, cap and rotor are all new mate. Didn't make a huge difference to mine tbh but then it all depends how bad the old ones are doesn't it.

Car struggles with air con on.

So it's just mine that has no guts then? Lol. Well i've serviced everything else on the car apart from the fuel filter so I think i'll have to get that done and see what difference it makes.

    Snapped front drivers side spring

Honda cars are very reliable mate but with springs there's so many factors that conttribute to them failing. For a start an Accord is a heavy car and the heavy cars are always more likely to snap a spring at some point. I've seen lots of BMW's and Mercedes over the years with a broken road...

Car struggles with air con on.

No difference at all cheddars? That's very interesting.... Somebody said to me today that if the air con is lacking in gas it has to work harder and can affect performance more. Mine does get cold but I think it could be colder with a re gas. No idea if this is correct mind.

    Terraclean opinions ?

I had my previous car terracleaned and it certainly did something because within a day or two the car was going like a rocket! Pulled well in every gear, particularly third and fourth. I'd get it done again for sure. The only two things of note I can think of are for one, in the videos on you...

Car struggles with air con on.

Gents, I know the air con is a bit of a burden on the engine, but does anyone find it makes their car really struggle? My 2.0 accord with the air con on is really slow! is this just the way they are?

    Tie Rod Terror!

Euro car parts are terrible for getting parts wrong. We call them Euro wrong parts in my work lol. I tend to find the website "blueprint live" to be quite accurate when looking up Japanese car bits. I ***ume you can sign up to that website if you're a member of the public.

    EGR cleaning

I know a lot of you don't like fuel additives bud but I do and my advice if you're still getting hesitation is to stick a bottle of this in your tank http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/p/car-accessories/engine-oils-and-car-fluids/car-additives/petrol-system-additives/?545771231&0&cc5_861 Best fuel...

    Brake disc size

Pagid supply a lot of oe brake parts, I think they are or were supplying to Vauxhall. Mind you that's hardly a great endorsement is it lol. But seriously, Pagid are a good make so I think that needs further investigation matey. You must have another issue going on there. But as for what brakes...

    EGR cleaning

Yeah defo worth doing even if it is a bit fiddly, it was for me anyway because I didn't take the fuel out rail out completely. Just pulled it out the head and then moved it left and right to get access to the bolts on the EGR plate. Tell you what though, the worst thing for me was my bloody...
