    Fuse location for boot light?

Perhaps a rusty bolt in the boot area. Is there a possibility somebody fitted a towbar ?

Charging woes on 2007 Accord CDTI

I replaced my alternator for one of these sometime last year, and have had no problems. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/365619111594 The only difference is the supplied pulley is slightly smaller in diameter than the original that makes the serpentine belt pass very close between two of the runs.

    16” Honda wheels/ potentially Legends

Could the seller have a spare one in the boot ?

    2.2 Diesel CU3 timing chain

A thought, will it be prudent to change the oil chain at the same time, ala Mk7s ?

    Interior trim. Rear door. Capping.

The saloon and tourer doortrims may be different.

    2.2 Diesel CU3 timing chain

I would suspect your car is one of very few Mk8s that has the mileage warranting a camchain replacement. You are a potential pioneer so take photos of the stripdown.

Mileage ? Does your Honda have the book with service history stamps ?

    Underside corrosion

And the previous owner ? (and how long they owned it, should be on the V5C)

    Underside corrosion

My tourer seems to have zero corrosion underneath, a 2005 with 180k+ the clock. It might be one or more of your previous owners was living near the coast, in which case the rot is unlikely to be stopped without taking the whole car apart.

    Pick the mistake

Is the steering wheel in the boot ?

    Back again!!

I did suggest that earlier. Despite Accord owners having the experience to fix things, Civic cars have a secret handshake thing going on with their owners.

    Honda accord. 2.0 vtec

https://typeaccord.co.uk/board/threads/accord-2-0-petrol-2007.27373/ Wider wheels/tyres would only exacerbate fuel consumption unltil the underlying issue is fixed.

    Back again!!

Civics have their own anomalies, my works colleague has asked me many times as a Honda expert and I have declined (as many times) Are you in other forums more suited ~?

    What next??

I don't know anyone local (I have been given costs between £1.1k and £1.9k, so based on the forum I will have to try it on my own. Farhad's thread suggests the clutch is all that is needed though he found his steed had issues with the self adjusting stuff (fixed after a profesional drop of the...

    What next??

Another Accord Mk7 I have one with a slipping clutch (has been for years), the next three months are likely to be when it finally has to be worked on though I have a cunning plan.... If yours is only clutch slip and nothing else (DMF/bearing) the part is less than £150, but would/could you...

    Honda accord. 2.0 vtec

Just a thought, were 15" standard on the Vtec ? I've only seen 16" tyres on checks when buying replacements for the tourer.

    Honda accord. 2.0 vtec

I wouldn't bother if it is better handling you are after unless you have deep pockets. Remove all excess weight from the car, buy a decent set of tyres to fit your current wheels and get them dynamically balanced by a professional outlet.

    Accord. Mk7 radio

Quantity over quality. It is of concern there are very few DAB+ standalone receivers out there with dual speakers.

    Accord. Mk7 radio

I would never mock forum members, nor anyone that fell for the con. https://theconversation.com/dab-radio-was-the-future-until-live-streaming-and-podcasts-arrived-95250 Note how the industry is now gunning for DMB, incompatible to the one currently in the radios and stores...
