DIY and REVIEW - Wireless Reverse camera

Just resurrecting this great post as I'm looking to install a reverse camera as well, haven't purchased it yet, but pretty much know what model/make it will most likely be it's not a wireless one like this one, but a wired one like this one here - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/182235651801. I...

Survey: When Do You Change Motor Oil???

Thought I'd chime in with my thoughts.....I've recently purchased my 2nd Honda Accord (I couldn't be happier with these cars - my previous one I'd kept for 13 years). This 2.4 2006 model I have owned now for 3 months and I finally got around to changing the oil @102k. The manual states oil...

How to remove windscreen washer jets?

Does anybody have any idea, I can't seem to find anything on how to do this and it's not obvious to me how to get at them/remove them? (I believe my passenger side windscreen jets are clogged). Many thanks.

Changed my Grille, now Radar doesn't work - is grille the problem?

Sorry guys, I'm still struggling to see how this plastic part constitutes part of the radar sensor? Just looks like a regular grille emblem. Could someone please explain? Many thanks.

Changed my Grille, now Radar doesn't work - is grille the problem?

I stand corrected..... ....I've just seen in the Handbook that there *is* a radar sensor 'in' the front grille  I'm pretty sure I can replace the central parts between these two grilles. Thanks for enlightening me :)

Changed my Grille, now Radar doesn't work - is grille the problem?

How do you mean the centre emblem *is* the radar sensor? (the centre emblem isn't connected to the car via any wires or suchlike) As far as I can tell, the radar sensor is the black box behind the grille that's the radar sensor (btw, I still have the original grille, it's just completely...

Anyone else looking to modify their Folding Mirrors to become Auto-Folding (on keyfob close), then get this....

I had an auto-electrician fit me a kit that folds the mirrors on key-fob close and opens them on ignition on. I don't know the make, but the code is NQ-RMF01 and it was just a few quid. Didn't cost too much to get fitted either (I'd say it's not a DIY job, electrician had to identify, and then...

Changed my Grille, now Radar doesn't work - is grille the problem?

My original grille came with the centre emblem being of clear plastic (and the Honda "H" being embedded within that). I could only find a good chrome grille that didn't have such a central emblem, only the "H" in front of a mesh like grille (if that makes sense). Now, I'm finding my Active...

Does your 7th Gen Accord have a Maintenance Minder?

In the Workshop Repair Manual, it states that by putting the key to ON (position II) and pushing and releasing the trip meter select/reset knob on the instrument panel repeatedly the Engine Oil Life Indicator is displayed? Just wondering if this is available on UK spec cars or if it's for USA...

    Clock is one hour out

Great :) It adjusted no problem! I've only had this car a month and no matter how hard I tried to adjust the clock the same day I took ownership, it simply wouldn't adjust from being one hour out! Today, it finally did it effortlessly! Thank you for the heads up :)

    Clock is one hour out

This is good to know, did you have to do anything at all? How does it get altered? (sorry, I've only had my 7th gen a month and it did come with it being 1hour out and so I'm not sure how the system works).

Help with wiring of Mirror "AutoFold" / "AutoTilt" Kit

Yes, as mentioned, I might just hold off from attempting to install the reversing tilt function and leave that bit of this project for another time.. (I'm also wondering if it'll tilt both mirrors and whether I'd actually like that, rather than just the one - I must say, thinking about it, I do...

Help with wiring of Mirror "AutoFold" / "AutoTilt" Kit

I'm guessing the Green and Blue go to the "Door Lock Actuator"? (as that's got two cavities, and I'm guessing that's for lock/unlock? - please don't laugh :), electrics is all a mystery to me!). If my guess is right, where would be a good home for the Red one (for power as per the 'Wiring...

Help with wiring of Mirror "AutoFold" / "AutoTilt" Kit

Okay, I'm making progress :) From the Honda Manual - here is a picture of what harnesses to expect within the driver's door; From here, one can see that Item Ref 3, Power Mirror Switch, has 13 cavities..... And from my photo of the Folding Mirror Kit you can see that the Harness Connectors...

Might be an idea to say where you found it! (saves others, including me, having to search) BTW, that message "file is too large" isn't very helpful, I did eventually upload my photo, but it took 5 goes to finally reduce it to something that'd be acceptable (and I still am not sure what that...

Help with wiring of Mirror "AutoFold" / "AutoTilt" Kit

Might be a *real* help if there was a wiring diagram available for the 7th Gen Honda Accords :)

Help with wiring of Mirror "AutoFold" / "AutoTilt" Kit

Hi, In my pursuit to have my electric mirrors autofold on my 2006 2.4 Honda Accord, I spent a lot of time sourcing (and finding) what seems to be the only supplier that does this kit (they're in Malaysia). They have a ton of videos on YouTube showing cars with successfully installed Autofold...
