    Engine check light

If it truly does have a de-cat, you can remove the light by getting a spacer for the post-cat lambda sensor so that it fools the car into thinking the readings are normal. The plug can be found in the passenger footwell right near the centre console. There is a small flap of carpet that tucks...

What would you have to change to tune a 1.8 sport

Only just noticed this but not to sound rude, it sounds impossible. For a start, the F20C is chain driven where as the F18B is belt driven. The head wouldn't even come close to lining up. An F20C is open deck while the F18B is closed deck. The air intake is the wrong way round...Oh, and the...

Sounds weird OP but are either of the footwells wet?

    Type-R headlights on 1.8 S?

ATR's were indeed xenons from the factory. Easiest thing would be to spray the insides of your current headlights black and put a HID kit on there. If you do get a HID kit, PLEASE get them aligned properly so you don't glare people.

    VTEC whooshe

First of all, SOHC VTECs don't have a "kick" when VTEC engages like a DOHC does, it's more of a smooth switchover and you will feel the car pull more eagerly..However, there should be a definitive change in noise and the car will pull harder as the revs climb. With the 2.0, the 6G is a quick...

Steering make loud creaking squeeking noises!

It's likely the deflated tyre might have put more strain on that corner, but either way that noise is metal on metal binding together and is not right so something is definetely wrong. As for the pulley, is it the out lip that is chipped? If so, just leave it as it is nothing to worry about...

Steering make loud creaking squeeking noises!

That noise is one/both of your bottom balljoints. I had that exact same noise a couple months ago, and it was my nearside bottom balljoint and I ended up changing them both. Simple enough fix. After taking off the hub, you won't be able to press out the balljoints due to the hubs shape so you...

    Temperature Gauge intermittant

It's the resistor on the back of the gauge. Due to it failing, it will read fine until the temperature runs hot or cold enough for it to make a drastic change on the gauge, so where as a normal gauge would rise or fall in small manners, the failing resistor causes it to over-read the data and...

    Headlamp washer (or lack of!)

Hiya Josh, sorry for the delay bud. The swap was done using pretty much all Acura CL-S parts from the US. From the US, I had a 6-speed transmission, Clutch Kit & Flywheel and Acura CL-S shifter & linkages shipped over. After that, I was able to get most parts from the UK (Where I lived at the...

    Headlamp washer (or lack of!)

Off topic but got any pictures? I had a V6 coupe a couple of years ago, spent way too much money on it (Manual conversion, exhaust, intake etc.) and loved it dearly until a drunk lorry driver crushed me against a barrier on the motorway. :( Would love to have another!

Took Tess (My H22 6G) out of hibernation for today as the weather was nice, and seeing her tucked up in her carcoon since October was making me depressed! Good fun though, and ended up doing 150+ miles instead of a quick spin! Tess is all tucked up again now and won't be back until the spring.

    EXHAUST BLOWING

Are you talking about the downpipe bolts or the cat? Either way, both my 6G's (2.0 and 2.2) have bolts/nuts on the downpipe and cat.

How many miles left in the tank when the petrol light comes on

I tried this once for a laugh, and to actually see how far I could get. Jerry can at hand, I went for a spin....83 miles later and I was bored so I gave up. :D But in all seriousness I was amazed, and she was still going strong and not sucking air around bends etc so I would say there was...

    Dismantling parts what's involved?

I've wrapped/trimmed quite a few now as I've done both my 6G's and multiple friends 6G's. I've used both the melting and sticky tape method for re-attaching, and both are quite successful but the easiest way by far is using the sticky tape. Just snap off the pegs (Try and use snips and just work...

    Dismantling parts what's involved?

Sorry not sure what you mean about the mounting holes? All the trim pieces held onto the doors have pegs that go through holes on the doorcards, so the only way to get the trim off is to remove the doorcards and snap the pegs, and like I said you have to remove the vent and glovebox ***embly to...

    Fuel efficiency

Hi! Unfortunately, I have to agree with the above and say that these cars are naturally thirsty so if you really can't live with it, you are best selling it. On a run, I can get 40mpg from my 2.0 and 41mpg from my 2.2, but that only happens with the cruise control on at 70mph and with no...

    Dismantling parts what's involved?

Just to add about the wood trim... Door trim is held on with push on star clips. Once these are on they never come off as they "bite" into the plastic tabs that hold the trim in place. Your only option is to snap the pegs and then reattach them by using either a strong double sided tape or...

    Water Leak In Drivers Footwell

Standard (or what I thought is standard lol!) is 4, one in each door. BOSE option is one in each door again (only more powerful) and a Subwoofer in the boot. BOSE Premier+ is a very rare option but not special. It's just the BOSE option with tweeters built onto the top dash vents.

    Water Leak In Drivers Footwell

I've never seen rear doorcards on 6G's without speaker covers, it looks odd lol. I'm not sure why yours wouldn't have them, as my H22 swapped 6G startedlife as a Sport too (although pre-facelifts were called SE Sports) but mine has rear speaker covers...Maybe it was an option on the facelifts...
