Make sure you plug your Xcarlink in to the headunit nice and tight. Don`t know if they have improved them but I found when I bought mine about 5 years ago the connector plug was a loose fit and even now causes the xcarlink to not work on occasion

Have to agree with Neil. I tried a few that were recommended here and elsewhere but they just scraped along the screen (something that really winds me up) despite giving it a good clean. So I went and bought Honda ones and they were perfect and I didn`t think they were all that expensive

Disconnecting the battery for a few minutes has in the past reset something for me and it has then worked fine. I`ve had to do this twice now but if your struts are not supporting the tailgate then this may not help and you will have to replace the struts.
