Hi guys I was thinking about trying out something like this http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B005PMN70S/ref=mp_s_a_2?qid=1335804962&sr=8-2 and using something like dash command on my iphone4s has anyone done anything like this and how much success did you have?

I have one that looks exactly the same as that bought from Ebay. Works fine with the Torque app on Android. Don`t know about iphone.

I`ve found though that while it works fine on the accord it doesn`t work on other cars in the family, ie Picasso, Clio, Ka, Corsa and probably some others. And I could be wrong but it may not work on the 8th gen

ive used one of these and the torque app on a few cars of mine, it worked on my CTR and a few of the Honda lads cars, the torque app is great!

could i ask where the odb2 socket is on the diesel accord (2006)

cheers all and the scanners are well worth it!

If it is the same as the petrol then it is under the steering wheel on the right hand side of the footwell as you are looking at it. And the Torque app works well with the Accord.

very intested in one of these myself. Anyone know if torque or the other apps have an mpg function? the trip computeer is the one big thing i miss from the A6

Yes it does mate. How accurate it is I don't know.

The torque app has a plethora of functions and is worth getting just for code reading.

sweet, as long as its even a rough figure i'll be happy. At the moment i dont have any gauge, and from what i've heard the facelift mpg gauge is only reasonably accurate, so i'll be happy just to have something :)

I'll have a look and okay tomorrow with mine and the location on the ctr was on the left of the drivers foot well next to the centre console I'll have a route tmoz

im thinking about doing this as well but my issue is i use a parrot bluetooth kit so can only connect 1 bluetooth device at a time.. has anyone used a wifi obd connection instead?

obd is not wi fi..

im almost sure on that. i got a obd2 scanner too for my car and use the torque app for my one x. cant 'fault' it.
