Those prices sound very reasonable. Insurance companies must use some ridiculously priced body repair shops as they are so quick to write a car off for minor damage.

Never had cause to question the braking capability of my car, they've always been good (except the binding problem of course, but that's a different issue) Have you tried a complete brake fluid change?

No problem fitting but keep the old bearing around in case it's the other side at fault as it was on mine.

I think you need keys with a transmitter in that can be programmed to the car. Have you been in touch with the people who supplied them? They must be at fault.

Update on this and a surprise to me. Rear wheel bearing faulty.

You'd be looking @£1500 for one from honda, probably more than the car is worth, then fitting if you are not able. Some on ebay for £400-500 I'd be going for, don't know if anyone on here has fitted cheaper dpfs? You can have it removed and it will still pass an mot apparently.

What is a full regen? I thought you had to drive it hard for 50 miles (long time for example) to clear it out. Did it on the wifes nissan note a while back, recommended to take for a long hard drive every so often. Anyway I don't think regens last for long and it will soon be troublesome again...

But I fitted a new caliper, no debris in that I hope.

Don't know the answer but would suggest 2 holes would not have something fall out of them. They may be to let moisture out from between the inner panels to stop causing corrosion.
