Booked in for LPG- Let the fun begin

Make sure you install an electronic Flashlube kit. Oh, btw, mine is also running on LPG, with a BRC kit!

    Clutch slave cylinder...correct part?

Yeah, I guess that was me :) You can undo the bolts that hold the front engine support to the engine and then move it away a bit. It's enough to reach the damn nipple B)

    found a connector!

As exec already said, the idle control of our cars is completely different from that one... You could also try what exec said, force the ECU to learn the idle speed. First reset the ECU, then, with a cold engine, start the car, and let it run at 3000rpm until the engine fan turns on and off, at...

    found a connector!

Which car was? I think that is not possible in ours. It's completely controlled by the ECU.. I hope so, I still didn't manage to remove mine, due to the lack of time. But I have read reports of people which were able to do it. In the worst case scenario, I we might have to remove the oil filter...

    found a connector!

Do you have the ABS light on? You might have a fautly ABS sensor... The IACV is not very hard to remove. You have to remove the throtle body, and then you are able to easily access the IACV. I think that you can't do anything on it to change the idle speed, at least not in the 1.8. I really...

    found a connector!

A few months ago I started to ear my engine knocking at certain rpm's, with the engine under load. I suspected of the knock sensor, but since it's way too expensive when bought at Honda, I bought a cheap one in ebay, just to check if it would solve the problem. Meanwhile I got the sensor, when I...

    found a connector!

WOW, someone had been doing some nasty things around that engine... The knock sensor is that green sensor above and a litle to the right of the oil filter. The other sensor, the black one, just above the oil filter, I guess it's the oil pressure sensor. Some times they get broken, and it may...

    found a connector!

I have been looking at mine, and can't figure what that thing is. It could be from the knock sensor, but think it's too far away from the knock sensor, although the knock sensor is right under the intake manifold, over the oil filter. Best thing that you can do, is get under the car, and check...

    found a connector!

If you have the EML on with a knock sensor code, it could just be unpluged, broken, or malfunctioning. My bet is that it's unpluged or broken, I think the ECU is not able to discover a malfunctioning knock sensor. About the connector, will try to look in mine, see if I can found out what that is

Valve Clearances - tools, parts and info need

I have done my valves many times. Never replaced the gasket, and always used a regular silicone gasket sealant, never used Hondabond. It just needs a bit of sealant in the sharp edges near the cam shaft bearings, where the gasket isn't able to reach...

    Manifold compatibility.

They are similar, but are different... Don't know if one fits the other... but the exahust gastket is the same, so they might fit on the engine, but then the down pipe is also different, at least they have different part numbers...

    Manifold compatibility.

Not sure about the F23 and the F18B2, but between the F18B2 and the 2.0, the exhaust manifold is different. According to http://www.lingshondaparts.com/honda_car_parts_selection_pfk.php?block_01=17S1A11&block_02=E__0301&block_03=2337, the intake manifold are the same.

Do you consider recondition the old pump? I guess all parts are available from Honda.

    ECU fuse No. and location.

Don't recall exactly which fuse is, but it's the same as the clock fuse, in the fuse box under the glove box. It's written in the fuse box cover, backup clock or something like that, IIRC.

    Knock sensor replacement

Hi guys! Couple of months ago my engine started knock when running on petrol (car is adapted to LPG). I suspected from the knock sensor, and finally I got one to replace the the old one. Today, when I started to replace the old one, it broke in my hands as soon as I touched it, so I guess it...

    Suspension; complete unit or bushes?

I guess that depends on the amount of money you want to spend, and the quality of the parts. I guess that if you use good quality bushes, will be equivalent to buy new complete arms of some not so good make. If you are able to do the job your self, you might get better served for the same amount...

6th Gen - Is my timing out?

True :) Since I have my car running on LPG, I have to take extra care on them, so I do them almost with the eyes closed ;-)
