    As above that's only if they're factory fit OEM, they could be aftermarket retrofit which definitely won't be auto adjust.

    Far too much work to fit auto-leveling to aftermarket kits. That's why Jay said OEM HIDs won't have the adjuster by the steering wheel.

    I don't know, Phil, sorry. Got mine from another member on here. Most people I think just search eBay for "H1 4300K HID slim balast kit" or something similar. I wouldn't know which one to buy though regarding quality etc.

    It won't fail an MOT with HIDs though, if it does your MOT tester isn't following the VOSA Inspection Manual correctly.

    That's the gist of it yes. The regs don't mention HIDs, they just say that "With a light source producing the principal dipped beam and having an objective luminous flux which exceeds 2,000 lumen" must have cleaning devices and cannot use the provision in the regs that allows manual adjustment...

    Would be handy if he did cos I want to know too! I know the wire colours in the roof but don't know where they come out in footwell to splice from.

    Filament bulbs can show blue hints as well. Do they take about 3 seconds to get to full brightness?

    Should be a cylindrical filter with a hole down the middle. It should come with 3 different sized rubber rings that replace the ones on the central spigot bit (the bit that you unscrew). the filter itself doesn't have any rubber bits on you just need to replace the rings on the plastic central...
